The Peoria County Genealogical Society (PCGS) is a volunteer not-for-profit organization whose mission is to identify, preserve, and share the heritage of our Peoria County, Illinois ancestors.

The Board of Directors is composed of elected officers and directors as well as several presidential appointed positions, all volunteers.

This society needs volunteers and many opportunities exist for involvement including special events, projects, and leadership positions. Please Contact Us about your interest.

Monthly society meetings take place at the Peoria Public Library’s North Branch, usually the second Thursday of each month at 6:00 PM. (No society meetings are held in December, January, February.)

The North Branch Library is located at 3001 West Grand Parkway in Peoria, IL. All monthly meetings are free and open to the public.  These meetings are in person, unless otherwise advertised. In addition the meetings are usually offered online via Zoom. Links to Zoom are on the website's Event page.

Additional programs may be offered to the public and to members only. Check out PCGS News and Upcoming Events for more information.
