Jackie Donavan Padesky is a native of central Illinois, and now lives in Metamora with her husband, Greg, and two young sons, Gabe and Sam. She’s been an insurance agent and small business owner in Lacon, Illinois since 2009. Known as a bit of a “Jackie”-of-all-trades, she loves digging into and learning a new hobby: quilting, soap-making, and antique hunting are some of her favorites.
In 2020 Jackie helped move her parents from Illinois to Florida, and in the process of packing she discovered an old family photo that no one seemed to know anything about. Through researching that photo, Jackie discovered a love of genealogy research and has dove head first into online archives, old libraries, and cemeteries.
Through her research, Jackie has become a new member of the Peoria DAR Chapter in 2021 and she looks forward to finding more stories hidden within the branches of her family tree.
