Michele Richey has had a special interest in genealogy since 1987. She has done research sporadically off and on. In 2012 she decided to get serious about this genealogical quest and started trying to site her sources and keep better records. She joined the Peoria County Genealogical Society board in 2014 as Treasurer. Her special interest is with DNA which has affirmed that she is 65% Irish.

Michele holds an accounting degree and an MBA from Bradley. She is currently CFO of Tri-City Machine Products, Inc. and President of the Board of Prairie Center of the Arts.
