An Author’s Journey: From Peoria, IL to the History Channel (hybrid)

April 10 at 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm CDT

Free

Join us for an evening with local author & historian, Ken Zurski, who will share a collection of “Peoria Stories” about people and events which helped shape Peoria and the Central Illinois region.  His first book, “The Wreck of the Columbia”, chronicled the 1918 riverboat disaster that claimed 87 lives and effectively ended the steamboat era on the Illinois River. Ken weaves local and national perspectives into a trip back into the past.

Come hear Ken’s award winning stories and appearances on the national stage. Peoria history lovers will be thoroughly entertained!
