If you see a surname that interests you in the Surname Index, you can lookup the surname file in the Genealogy Dept. at the Peoria Main Library. Every file and every surname includes something different. This is a large collection and continues to grow!

These Peoria County Genealogical Society (PCGS) holdings include donated vital records, wills, land records, photos, family lineage, among many other records.

Large donated family histories also exist for some surnames. These are stored in the PCGS workroom at the Peoria Main Library (lower level). Ask the Local History and Genealogy librarian for assistance.
